ScopeCast Episode 5: Documentation

ScopeCast is Australasian Pharmacy’s new podcast series created in partnership with TerryWhite Chemmart to give listeners in Australia and New Zealand practical insights into how community pharmacists are delivering full-scope care.

In this episode, host Michelle Bou Samra, the Pharmacy Guild of Australia’s Scope of Practice Implementation Lead, turns the focus to clinical documentation. The conversation explores why strong documentation matters in pharmacist consultations, how it supports patient safety and continuity of care, and why good records are essential as pharmacists take on more advanced clinical roles.

Joining Michelle again are two experienced prescribing pharmacists from TerryWhite Chemmart: Kate Gunthorpe, who leads national full-scope implementation, and Peter Fairgray, a Brisbane community pharmacist recognised for his work in men’s health. Both also teach and mentor university students preparing for prescribing practice.

All episodes of ScopeCast are available on Spotify and Apple Podcasts.
