The special 50th event brought together College Fellows and past ACP leaders together with many of the profession’s most influential contributors, to honour the individuals who have shaped ACP’s success over five decades.
Guests heard from ACP leaders past and present, as well as the Interim CEO of the Pharmaceutical Society of Australia, who reflected on ACP’s journey, its impact on the profession, and its role in advancing pharmacy leadership.
The PSA finalised its acquisition of ACP in late December.
College Fellowship has always been about recognising those who give to ACP and the profession, helping shape its future.

Interim CEO of PSA, Bridget Totterman, said the evening was a meaningful opportunity to recognise ACP’s people and legacy.
“This celebration was about more than marking 50 years, it was about recognising the leadership, commitment and vision that have shaped ACP and strengthened the pharmacy profession,” Bridget said.
“As ACP transitions into PSA, we commit to embracing its legacy and strengthening pharmacy education. The values ACP holds will continue under the care of PSA.”
ACP Emeritus Fellow
A highlight of the evening was the induction of the final cohort of College Fellows, marking a historic moment ahead of ACP’s transition to PSA.
PGA's National President said he felt very privileged to be named an ACP Emeritus Fellow at the 50th celebration.
"I was unable to be there in person, thankyou to Georgina Twomey (who was also named Fellow Honoris Causa) for accepting on my behalf," he said on social media.
"Well done to all of my fellow recipients, happy birthday to the College and all the best as you start your new journey with the PSA."
Significant moment
This final fellowship cohort represents the culmination of ACP’s fellowship program and honours individuals whose leadership and service have had a lasting impact on both ACP and the profession.
Immediate Past President, Aaron D’Souza, reflected on the significance of the moment.
“College Fellowship has always been about recognising those who give to ACP and the profession, helping shape its future,” Aaron said.
“To induct the final group of College Fellows at the 50‑year milestone is incredibly meaningful and speaks to the depth of leadership and generosity that has defined ACP since its earliest days.”
The dinner marked ACP’s official celebration of its 50‑year milestone, bringing together the leaders and Fellows who have defined its legacy, while acknowledging the next chapter as the organisation transitions into PSA.
